Do yourself a favor, get notes on your script from James, and then you will sell it. James' notes and guidance are second to none. Every single time I give him a script, he not only makes it flow better, but calls out forced exposition and anything that is too derivative. James always understands what I am trying to accomplish, and it seems effortless for him to carve out the best way to get there. Also, James is really fucking funny! - which helps when you're a comedy writer like me! You don't want anyone who doesn't 'get it' giving you suggestions about a joke, but that is NOT a problem with James, as he is about as funny as a person can be. But fair warning: the weak need not apply. If James is going to give you notes, he will give you notes and not beat around the 'writing bush.' Is that a thing?
